Anita Guarino was born in Brooklyn and makes her home in Sag Harbor. Growing up, she was indentured to sing at family gatherings, hated the attention and pursued a career in biology. The call to sing however remained and emerged in her thirties when Anita became the lead singer for a cover band. During this experience, she became adept at singing in many styles.
Her current repertoire includes selections that range from Ella to Janis to Streisand to Ronstadt. Her recent foray into jazz has allowed Anita to discover and impart her personal voice.
Anita has performed most recently at the Sag Harbor Harborfest and has been a featured vocalist, invited by Hamptons JazzFest at Baron's Cove. She's performed at Claude's restaurant at the Southampton Inn, Main Prospect, Grasso's and to a full house at the Masonic Temple which was featured on LTV. She can be heard regularly at The Green Room in the Sag Harbor Cinema.
